Remembering Madelyn Richards

Thoughts By Colleen:

Our grandma Madelyn was one of the classiest women you could have met. She taught us what it meant to live life. After knowing our grandfather John for only two weeks, she married him and that's when it all began. Being that he was a higher ranking career marine, they traveled the world living in both Japan and Taiwan. Our parents, Patricia, John, and Neal always talked so fondly of their time in Taiwan with gramp and gram. They dined with Chang Kai Shek and many other notable figures while overseas. They retired to Montgomery, New York so gram could be close to her family at "the farm." Eventually us grandkids, Patrick, Brian, Colleen, Jason, Kari Jenny and Kasey as well as great grandkids, Jonathan, Becca, Mikey and Sara arrived to hear all the wonderful stories of a life well lived. We will never tire of hearing them and we will always hold you in our hearts grandma.
We can only assume that grandpa needed your help with keeping Uncle John and Uncle Neal in line.
